Mr. Ishmael Lente, an ASSAR PhD Candidate at the Institute for
Environment and Sanitation Studies (IESS) has successfully passed his PhD viva defence
on Tuesday September 18, 2018.
Ishmael’s research, ‘Vulnerabilityand Adaptation Options to Agro-ecosystems and Climate Change in Semi-arid Ghana’
examined the availability, changes in supply, utilization and the quality of key
agro-ecosystem and ecosystem services that support smallholder farmers in within
the Nandom District of the Upper West Region of Ghana.
Ishmael is expected to submit his final thesis
(after addressing all corrections) in the next three weeks ahead of the
November Graduation Ceremony, thus making him the first ASSAR PhD graduate.
