ASSAR GHANA HOLDS PROJECT UPDATE MEETING WITH STUDENTS

On the 6th of April, the student supervisory team of ASSAR Ghana held an update meeting with the ASSAR students ahead of the forthcoming ASSAR Regional West Africa Team Meeting in Ghana schedule for the 28-29th April 2016.
The meeting was held to receive updates on the progress of their work, and also share their challenges and the identifiable gaps for shaping ASSAR Ghana’s future research themes. It was also meant to allow the supervisors and the rest of the Team to make suggestions that would enhance the students’ work.
All the ASSAR students (4 Masters Students and 2 PhD Candidates) were present to give updates on their work. Each student made about 15 minutes Power Point presentation indicating the status of their research projects, preliminary findings and what challenges were encountered in the course of the study.

  3.  Unavailability of trained enumerators and or facilitators as well as
  4.  Long distances between communities and respondent households
The challenges and experiences in the field activities of students are expected to be collated into a guideline or manual that would inform future ASSAR students on some basic field and course requirements for the ASSAR project.
